To all who grieve this kind of death;
you are not alone,
you will walk through this,
you are cared for.
Your loved one’s life mattered.
Willow House will be having a support group series for families as well as a community support seminar. See more details here.

When Something Terrible Happens is a great workbook for children to help them process a traumatic event. It makes it ‘easier’ for a parent, caregiver or teacher to talk with the child. It has plenty of space to draw, color and write about thoughts and feelings around the traumatic event.
After a Murder is another great workbook for caregivers to work together with children. It is produced by the Dougy Center, which is a leader in the nation on children’s grief.
Grief After Homicide is written by grief expert, Alan Wolfelt. I highly recommend all his books as they are comforting, easy to read and understand, insightful and encouraging.
