We all experience loss. Engaging in grief therapy is life-changing. Grief is very specific and unique to work with.
My name is Kathryn Krzykala LCSW, CAMS II. I specialize in working with Grief, Loss, and Adjustment, as well as Anxiety, Depression, Somatic Symptom Disorder, Conversion Disorder, DV, Anger issues, Trauma, and Supervision.
I am Hospice trained and continually co-facilitate groups with 4th and 5th graders at Rainbow Hospice’s Bereavement Department (‘Good Mourning’). When I worked at Rincon Family Services, I led the grief crisis support team when we were called by alternative high schools in Chicago.
I also facilitate a Grief Support Group for Spousal/Partner Loss at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital (free of charge) every third Wednesday of the month at 4:30 pm

I am the founder of Klub Solo Rodzica (Single Parent Club) within the Polish Community, which a few years ago, merged with a Women’s shelter in Chicago. I facilitate psychoeducation groups that provide support for grief, loss, transitions, self-esteem issues, as well as provide parenting classes to many women and their children within the shelter. I have been very active in the Polish community, as a featured guest on the Polish radio and Social Work provider for Polish school and their students.
I utilized Grief Theories, Self-compassion work (Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer), Trauma work, ACT and CBT.
I work with Pts in Illinois and Wisconsin due to having a license in both states. I do a sliding scale and take three types of insurance plans.
Thank you for seeking help during this difficult time. I will be honored to walk beside you on your grief journey.
